Ashoek Adhikari is an associate at BaIrd's CMC, an international consultancy group. Prior to that he was the general counsel at Media24, a subsidiary of Naspers.
As an attorney, he first established his own practice in Cape Town, and then moved into the public sector, where he held various positions in the Provincial Administration of the Western Cape. His last position there, before moving to Media24, was that of the chief operative officer in the Office of the Premier.
He remains active in the governance of the attorney’s profession. He chaired the Law Society of South Africa’s transformation committee and served on the Minister of Justice’s steering committee to draft the transformation charter for the attorney’s profession. He is currently the chairperson of the audit and compliance committee of the Attorneys Fidelity Fund.
He is also deputy chair of the Isandla Institute and serves on the board of Accelerate Cape Town.
Andrew Boraine is the CEO of the EDP. He has been involved in South Africa’s local government, urban and economic development and transition processes for the past 35 years, as activist, advisor, negotiator, government planner, city manager, chief executive, facilitator, communicator, writer and photographer.

Named as one of the 100 most influential thinkers in the world by Time magazine in 2011, Barbara has vast experience working within government and civil society as well as the private sector. She has a deep understanding of economics and applied economics (subjects she studied during her 10 years in prison on charges of High Treason for her political work for the ANC).
Barbara served as the Secretary-General of the ANC in Gauteng (1990 to 1992) before joining the Development Bank of Southern Africa in 1993. She was a Member of Parliament from 1994 to 2008, appointed Minister of Health in 2008 and as Minister of Public Enterprises from 2009 to 2010.
She is a respected national leader with a deep commitment to the Western Cape, where she now lives.
Lance Greyling is the Director of Trade and Investment in the Mayor’s Office at the City of Cape Town. He spend eleven years as a National Member of Parliament for the Independent Democrats, and serves on the boards of Wesgro and Bulunbula Incubator (an NGO based in the Eastern Cape which creates models for sustainable rural development).
Dhiresh consults in the economic field of development. He has advised clients at all levels of government and championed the launch of the Economies of Regions Learning Network (ERLN), which involved South Africa’s three major economic regions with their metropolitan and their provincial economic development representatives. He is an active connector of economic stakeholders and networks to improve economic literacy and enhanced collaboration for improved economic results.
Letebele Masemola-Jones has extensive experience in Management, Public Relations and Administration, having worked in communications and stakeholder relations. She has also worked in the film and television industries, producing both films and documentaries, as well as in philanthropy and the oil and gas industries.
Most recently she has worked for the South African Parliament, where she has been involved in all areas of people management, project management, media campaigns, internal and external communications campaigns, and strategy development, planning and implementation.
Letebele’s views overlap with the core values of the EDP, in her belief that partnerships need to be built across society to contribute to growth and visible transformation.
Tebogo Naledi is Managing Director of Old Mutual Investment Group, a South African based investment management business with close to $30bn in assets under management and part of JSE listed, Old Mutual Limited.
He has been with the Group for 3,5 years and has worked in the South African investment management industry for 23 years during which time he has occupied various leadership roles. He previously co-founded and was CEO of Afena Capital for 10 years and, prior to that, had worked at Investec Asset Management and Futuregrowth Asset Management.
Tebogo is a trustee of the Imfundo Trust, an Old Mutual Investment Group initiative to address the lack of black investment professionals in South Africa, and to increase the number of qualified black professionals in the asset management industry.
David is a sole practitioner in the field of Accounting, Business Administration and Income Tax. He also serves as the Independent Chairperson of the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board. He has previously held directorships of private companies in various business sectors, and has served on the Audit, Risk and Finance Committees of those companies and of the CCMA.
