The Power of Partnering in a Polarised World
Convene. Connect. Collaborate.
EDP X-Change: a space for challenge and possibility.
The current climate of polarisation is a significant hurdle to addressing the complex challenges facing our world, from climate change and inequality to peace and security. In this context, innovative approaches that bridge divides and foster collaboration are essential.
In 2025, the EDP X-Change will explore the cross-cutting elements critical to effective partnering, uncover how real partnering has unlocked stuck systems and surface opportunities for action.
At EDP X-Change 2025, there will be:
A Plenary Panel
Three Thought Labs
Curated networking
To showcase how partnerships can bridge deep divides and tackle complex challenges in our polarised world, with real-world cases from leaders across sectors.
Where participants can explore system sensemaking, governance for collaboration, and how to build learning partnerships, all designed to equip participants with opportunities for collaboration.
That will connect changemakers from across sectors through fresh conversations to extend collaboration beyond the formal programme.

The event will host leading experts, practitioners, and pioneers from different spaces as speakers. From government officials to business leaders, journalists and more, EDP X-Change is a platform for partnering for impact.
The event has been intentionally designed to spark ideas and partnerships for change within and between participants.
Networking and Connecting
After a day of vigorous engagement, participants are invited to listen to live music, enjoy light refreshments, and network with one another in a relaxed atmosphere.

“While actors confine themselves to their own mandate or function, in the complex real world, system challenges are rarely ever within the mandate, function or control of any one organisation. Addressing…complex challenges requires a shared and collaborative stewardship of the systems by all of those with a key role to play.”
