Programme Lead (M&E)

Mark is a Programme Lead at the EDP with a focus on monitoring & evaluation for the organisation as it consolidates its position as a strategic intermediary organisation working to address development challenges.

Mark has more than 20 years of experience in the field of monitoring and evaluation, with assignments completed in countries across Africa, including Uganda, Kenya and Cameroon. Mark is a founding member and former chairperson of the South African Monitoring and Evaluation Association (SAMEA), as well as Editor-in-Chief of the African Evaluation Journal, a publication of the African Evaluation Association (AfrEA).

Before joining the EDP, Mark was an independent consultant and senior associate with Southern Hemisphere, a development agency based in Cape Town. He has previously worked in higher education, and on development projects with provincial and national government departments and non-governmental organisations.
