Jessica Wilson is a part-time Water Specialist at the EDP. She provides strategic advice on water and climate change-related projects, including Water Resilience in the Western Cape Water Supply System, the City of Cape Town’s Climate Change Action Plan, and the Partnering Implementation Model for the Just Transition.
Jessica has 20 years of experience working in the non-profit sector for social and environmental justice. She has supported community activists and social movements to articulate and research their environmental challenges, and then to engage directly with local and national decision makers through consultative dialogue. She specialises in strategy support, learning evaluation and action research, and is particularly interested in how policy translates into implementation on-the-ground.
Jessica holds Masters of Arts degrees in Environmental Policy (Tufts University) and Creative Writing (University of Cape Town).
